Thanks to long-term planning by the Pueblo Board of Water Works and effective conservation by you, our customers, Pueblo water users continue to enjoy a reliable water supply at rates about 25% below the average for front-range cities.
Still, it makes no sense to waste water - our most precious resource. The Board of Water Works encourages our customers to continue their Wise Use of water, including these simple measures:
SUMMER OUTDOOR WISE USE TIPS
Do not water between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Set your lawn mower to a 3” cutting height
Xeriscape with low-water turf and plants
Use a broom, not the hose, to clean sidewalks and driveways
WINTER OUTDOOR WISE USE TIPS
It's important to give your trees and shrubs several slow, deep waterings during the fall and winter seasons to keep your landscape healthy through the rough winter weather.
If you irrigate during the two-month sewer billings period, you may apply for an adjustment so that your irrigation does not increase your sewer bills for the following year. See our website or call customer service (719-584-0250) for details.
INDOOR WISE USE TIPS
Turn off water while brushing teeth or shaving
Run laundry & dishwasher only with full loads
Install low-flow shower heads and toilets
Seek and repair leaks, indoors and out.
